Born in Columbus, Ohio, Rusinek received her BFA from the University of Michigan’s Penny Stamps School of Art and Design in 2016 and has most recently been studying at The Art Students League of New York. Her mixed media artworks involve intricate layers of oil and acrylic paint as well as the inclusion of various types of paper. The artist references a variety of cultural and historical styles to create unique works that expose the imperfect nature of humans and possibilities for human error. Rusinek’s paintings were recently featured in Helicon Literary Mag.
